Inughuit 1995–2002

Greenland (Greenlandic: Kalaallit Nunaat) is home to ca. 56 000 people, over 90% of whom are Inuit. The northernmost group of Inuit, the Inughuit, live in northwestern Greenland. There are ca. 800 Inughuit, over 600 of whom live in the town of Qaanaag and the rest in three villages, Qegertat, Savissivik ja Siorapaluk. Qaanaaq is situated ca. 1200 kilometers north of the Arctic Circle.
